Cookie Policy

What this version of AVTub stores in the browser

This Cookie Policy describes cookies and related browser technologies in the current static version of avtub.us. The site is built to deliver public articles without requiring a user account, analytics session, advertising profile or newsletter subscription. The statements below refer to the actual features supplied in this website package.

What cookies are

Cookies are small pieces of data that websites can ask browsers to store and return during later requests. They can help maintain a signed-in session, remember preferences, measure site visits or support advertising. Other browser storage, tracking pixels and similar technologies can serve related functions even when they are not technically cookies. The purpose and impact depend on the specific implementation.

A normal static web page does not automatically require tracking cookies to show text and images. Browser caching can also make a page load faster without the website creating a visitor profile. These different technologies should not be confused simply because they all involve a browser.

Current first-party cookie behavior

This AVTub build does not intentionally set first-party cookies. The client-side search filters a local article index; category filtering shows and hides items already on the page; the mobile menu expands and collapses. These functions do not require you to sign in or create a persistent identifier, and the supplied JavaScript does not store personal preferences in localStorage.

We have not added a Google Analytics tag, Google AdSense script, advertising pixel, embedded social feed or behavior-tracking service. As a result, the supplied pages do not currently deploy their typical nonessential cookies. If an operator later installs such services, this policy must be updated to match the real code.

Essential delivery and server technologies

A hosting provider may use network and infrastructure systems to route requests, prevent abuse or log errors. Such processing may occur independently of whether AVTub explicitly sets cookies in its page code. We do not control the host’s internal operations through the static files, and readers should consult the provider’s relevant notices for infrastructure practices where applicable.

A browser may retain an ordinary cache of images, style sheets or HTML so returning to a page is faster. A cached file is not necessarily a first-party cookie. You can clear the browser cache or use private browsing if you prefer reduced local retention on your device.

Contact form and external services

The optional contact form uses FormSubmit, an independent submission provider, and requires the website owner to verify the destination email for reliable delivery. Submitting through that service may expose you to its own technical processing, policies or cookies. Direct email uses whatever email application or provider you choose. Neither is a site account maintained by AVTub.

The public article pages themselves load their article images from files included with this website rather than from an external tracking image host. Following links away from the site may expose you to separate cookies or analytics on the destination service, outside AVTub’s control.

Analytics cookies

Some websites use analytics cookies to count visits, measure referral sources or understand what readers view. The current published AVTub build does not include an analytics tag or analytics-cookie consent toggle because it is not setting those cookies. We do not claim to collect a visitor-specific browsing history through a hidden analytics system.

If analytics is activated later, the site operator should assess the vendor, purposes, cookie duration, regional consent requirements and available opt-out mechanisms. Visitors should be given an accurate updated disclosure before the new scripts are run where applicable.

Advertising and personalization cookies

Advertising networks can use cookies and identifiers to deliver ads, measure interactions and, when enabled and permitted, personalize messages. Google AdSense and related Google advertising services are not included in these static files. Consequently this build does not set Google advertising cookies on behalf of AVTub.

A future advertising deployment would require updating the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy and implementing appropriate consent or notice mechanisms, including additional obligations that may apply in particular regions. A notice that describes future possibilities is not evidence that those tools are already installed.

Consent choices and browser controls

Because no nonessential cookies are intentionally placed by the current AVTub pages, this build does not show a decorative cookie banner or pretend to offer controls over scripts that do not exist. Browser settings remain available to block, restrict or delete cookies from websites generally. The menu names vary by browser and device.

You can often inspect stored cookies through your browser’s privacy or developer tools, remove site data and choose whether to allow third-party cookies. Private browsing may reduce local retention but does not make network requests invisible to service providers. If you use the external contact provider, its own settings and disclosures may apply.

Cookie duration and future changes

AVTub does not publish an invented expiration table for first-party cookies that it does not set. Should new cookies be introduced, a meaningful disclosure would identify the relevant provider, purpose and approximate duration wherever reasonably available. Any deployed consent control should actually control the technologies described.

We may revise the policy if new site functions, form providers, analytics or advertisements are activated. Readers should review the published policy when those features change. Questions or requests about the website’s cookie disclosure can be sent to admin@avtub.us.
